Students will study and analyze nutritional information about FAST-FOOD while developing habits of mind that make us successful in school, the work world, and life.  How healthy are Fries?  Cheeseburgers? Pizza? Happy Meals?  Using Excel students will compare nutrition facts such as Calories, Fat Calories, Sodium, Protein or Cholesterol.     View Samples: Project 1, Project 2, Project 3, Project 4, Project 5, Project 6, and Project 7.

First, lets review information on nutrition and fast food using the following resources.

  4. Kodiak-What Families Around the World eat in One Week Pictures

Now you are ready to explore some Fast Food Sites to plan your project. You must decide what nutritional facts you will compare using Excel.  Fries?  Cheeseburgers? Pizza? Happy Meals?  Your Choice! Bookmark the resources you will need to use in the Favorites folder. Worksheet Handout
